Feldar LLC ("Feldar", "we", "us" or "our") provides an advanced artificial intelligence ("AI") writing platform - Feldar. This Usage Policy describes how you may use the Feldar platform and its AI features (collectively, the "Service").
This policy is part of and incorporated into our Terms of Service.

Scope
This Usage Policy applies to all users of the Service, including users on the free tier and paid subscriptions. It covers the use of all features, including:
- The writing editor and document management
- AI-powered writing assistance and generation
- Project and chapter organization
- Sharing and collaboration features
- Export and integration capabilities
Account responsibilities
Account integrity
You must:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Promptly update your information if it changes
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access at support@feldar.com
Account usage
You may not:
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, restrictions, or bans
- Share your account credentials with others
- Allow others to access the Service using your account
- Transfer, sell, or assign your account to another person without our consent
- Use another person's account without their authorization
Responsibility
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not you authorized them. Unauthorized use should be reported immediately.
Permitted uses
Feldar is designed for legitimate writing and content creation. You may use the Service for:
Creative writing
- Fiction, novels, short stories, and novellas
- Screenplays, scripts, and dialogue
- Poetry, lyrics, and creative non-fiction
- Fan fiction (subject to applicable copyright laws)
- Genre fiction including romance, thriller, horror, sci-fi, and fantasy
- World-building, character development, and plotting
Professional content
- Articles, blog posts, and newsletters
- Marketing copy and advertising content
- Business communications, reports, and proposals
- Documentation, manuals, and guides
- Educational and instructional materials
- Presentations and speeches
Personal use
- Journals and personal essays
- Letters and correspondence
- Notes, outlines, and brainstorming
- Academic writing (following your institution's policies on AI assistance)
- Personal projects and creative exploration
AI-assisted writing
- Generating ideas, suggestions, and alternatives
- Improving, refining, and editing existing text
- Exploring different styles, tones, and voices
- Overcoming writer's block
- Research assistance and summarization
Prohibited conduct
You may not use the Service to engage in or facilitate any of the following:
Illegal activities
- Violating any local, state, national, or international laws or regulations
- Engaging in or facilitating fraud, money laundering, or financial crimes
- Creating content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities
- Circumventing legal restrictions, sanctions, or embargoes
- Evading law enforcement or obstructing justice
Harmful content creation
- Generating threats of violence against individuals, groups, or institutions
- Creating content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism
- Producing instructions for committing violent acts or creating weapons
- Generating content that glorifies mass violence, atrocities, or suffering
- Creating content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
Harassment and hate
- Targeted harassment, bullying, intimidation, or stalking
- Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics
- Content promoting discrimination or supremacist ideologies
- Doxxing or exposing private information about individuals
- Coordinated campaigns to harass or harm individuals or groups
Exploitation
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors
- Sexual content that sexualizes minors in any context
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (real or synthetic)
- Content promoting human trafficking or exploitation
- Content facilitating exploitation of vulnerable individuals
Fraud and deception
- Phishing, credential harvesting, or social engineering attacks
- Scam content designed to defraud individuals or organizations
- Impersonation of real individuals for harmful or deceptive purposes
- Creation of fake official documents, credentials, or identities
- Financial fraud schemes or pyramid schemes
Disinformation
- Deliberately false content presented as fact with intent to cause harm
- Medical misinformation that could endanger health or safety
- Election misinformation intended to suppress voting or undermine elections
- Fabricated evidence, falsified documentation, or manipulated media
- Conspiracy theories that promote harassment or violence
Intellectual property violations
- Infringing copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets
- Plagiarizing others' work or passing off others' content as your own
- Generating content designed to bypass copyright protections
- Creating unauthorized reproductions of protected works
- Violating licensing agreements or terms of use
System abuse
- Attempting unauthorized access to the Service, accounts, or systems
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts without written authorization
- Conducting load testing, stress testing, or penetration testing without consent
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract AI models
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service's infrastructure or performance
- Attempting to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
- Scraping, harvesting, or collecting data from the Service
- Uploading malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities (report them instead)
Spam and manipulation
- Using the Service to generate spam or unsolicited bulk content
- Creating content for manipulation of search engines or social platforms
- Generating repetitive, automated, or low-quality content at scale
- Artificially inflating metrics, reviews, or engagement
- Astroturfing or creating fake grassroots campaigns
Privacy violations
- Collecting or harvesting personal information without consent
- Generating content that violates others' privacy rights
- Creating surveillance or tracking tools
- Compiling databases of personal information
AI-specific guidelines
Responsible AI use
When using AI features, you must:
- Review all AI-generated content before use or publication
- Verify factual claims and accuracy when it matters
- Ensure AI outputs comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Disclose AI assistance when required by law or professional standards
- Not represent AI-generated content as human-created when disclosure is required
AI limitations
You acknowledge that:
- AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, biases, or hallucinations
- AI-generated content requires human review, judgment, and editing
- AI features may not be suitable for all purposes
- We make no guarantees about AI output quality, accuracy, or appropriateness
- AI outputs may occasionally include unexpected content despite safety measures
Prohibited AI uses
You may not use AI features to:
- Generate content that bypasses content moderation or safety systems
- Create deepfakes or synthetic media intended to deceive
- Produce content impersonating specific real individuals without consent
- Generate malicious code, exploits, hacking tools, or malware
- Create content designed to manipulate or jailbreak AI systems
- Attempt to extract training data or model weights
- Circumvent AI safety measures or content filters
- Generate content for prohibited purposes listed in this policy
Professional and legal contexts
If using AI outputs in professional, legal, or regulated contexts:
- You are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable standards
- AI outputs should be reviewed by qualified professionals when appropriate
- Follow your industry's guidelines on AI disclosure and use
- Do not rely on AI outputs for medical, legal, or financial advice without professional review
Rate limits and fair use
Usage limits
We may impose limits on:
- AI generation requests per time period
- Storage capacity for projects and content
- API calls or feature access frequency
- Concurrent sessions or connections
- Total content volume
Fair use
You agree to:
- Use the Service in a manner consistent with normal human usage patterns
- Not consume resources disproportionate to your subscription level
- Respect rate limits and not attempt to circumvent them
- Report bugs through proper channels rather than exploiting them
Excessive usage
Usage that impacts service quality for other users may result in:
- Temporary throttling or rate limiting
- Warning and request to reduce usage
- Account suspension or termination
Third-party services
Integrations
If you connect third-party services to your account or use integrations:
- You are responsible for complying with their terms of service
- We are not responsible for third-party service availability or performance
- Data shared with third parties is subject to their privacy policies
- Third-party actions may affect your Feldar account or content
External content
Content you import from external sources must:
- Comply with this Usage Policy and our Terms of Service
- Not violate third-party intellectual property rights
- Be content you have the legal right to use
Monitoring and enforcement
Monitoring
We may monitor usage to:
- Detect violations of this policy
- Respond to reports of abuse
- Ensure service quality and security
- Comply with legal requirements
- Improve our safety systems
We do not proactively read or monitor your private content without cause. Monitoring focuses on system-level patterns, reports, and automated detection.
Violations
If we determine you have violated this policy, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Issue a warning
- Remove or disable access to specific content
- Temporarily suspend your account
- Permanently terminate your account
- Forfeit unused Credits without refund
- Report violations to law enforcement if required by law or if there is risk of harm
- Preserve evidence as required
Severity
The action we take depends on:
- Severity and nature of the violation
- Whether the violation was intentional
- History of past violations
- Potential or actual harm caused
- Legal requirements
Appeals
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing support@feldar.com with:
- Your account email address
- Description of the action taken
- Explanation of why you believe it was in error
- Any supporting information
We will review appeals and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Appeals do not guarantee reinstatement.
Reporting violations
How to report
To report violations of this policy:
Email support@feldar.com with:
- Subject: "Usage Policy Violation Report"
- Description of the violation
- Any relevant evidence or details (screenshots, dates, etc.)
- Your contact information (optional but helpful for follow-up)
Response
We will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your report
- Investigate the reported violation
- Take appropriate action based on our findings
- Follow up if additional information is needed
Good faith reporting
Please report violations in good faith. False or malicious reports may result in action against your account.
Confidentiality
We keep reporter information confidential to the extent possible, except where disclosure is required by law.
EU AI Act compliance
High-risk AI systems
You shall not use the Service to develop, deploy, operate, or facilitate any "high-risk" AI systems as defined under the EU AI Act without our explicit written approval. Contact us at support@feldar.com if you need to discuss such use cases.
High-risk AI systems include, but are not limited to:
- Biometric identification and categorization of natural persons
- Management of critical infrastructure (road traffic, water, gas, heating, electricity supply)
- Education and vocational training systems that determine access or evaluate learning outcomes
- Employment and worker management systems, including recruitment, resume screening, promotion decisions, or monitoring
- Essential services and benefits systems for creditworthiness, credit scoring, insurance, or social benefits
- Law enforcement applications, including predictive policing, risk assessment, or emotion recognition
- Migration, asylum, and border control management systems
- Administration of justice and democratic processes
Prohibited AI practices
In compliance with the EU AI Act, you shall not use the Service for:
- Subliminal or manipulative techniques that distort behavior beyond conscious awareness and cause harm
- Exploiting vulnerabilities related to age, disability, or socio-economic circumstances in harmful ways
- Social scoring systems that evaluate individuals based on social behavior or personal characteristics
- Predictive crime risk assessment based solely on profiling or personality traits
- Facial recognition database creation through untargeted scraping from internet or CCTV
- Emotion recognition in workplace or educational settings (except for medical/safety reasons)
- Biometric categorization to infer sensitive attributes (race, political opinions, religion, sexual orientation, etc.)
- Real-time remote biometric identification in public spaces for law enforcement (except as permitted by law)
Compliance obligations
If you use Feldar's AI features in regulated contexts, you are responsible for:
- Conducting appropriate conformity assessments
- Maintaining required documentation
- Implementing human oversight
- Ensuring accuracy, robustness, and cybersecurity
- Providing transparency and information to users
- Meeting any registration or notification requirements
Regional compliance
UK Online Safety Act (UK users)
Feldar applies this Usage Policy to address all categories of illegal content recognized by the UK Online Safety Act. Our commitment includes:
- Proactive safeguards to prevent illegal content
- Swift removal of illegal content once identified
- Risk assessments for content-related harms
- Age-appropriate protections
- Transparency reporting on content moderation
UK users who believe we have not met our duties under the Act, or that our proactive measures have unjustly restricted their content, may complain to Ofcom at: https://www.ofcom.org.uk/
We commit to cooperating with Ofcom and implementing required safety measures for UK users.
DSA transparency (EU users)
We comply with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), including:
- Clear "deepfake" disclosures (watermarks, metadata, or on-screen labels) for AI-generated media
- Notice-and-action process for EU-facing content moderation
- Transparency reporting on content moderation decisions
- Access to out-of-court dispute resolution for content decisions
- Cooperation with Digital Services Coordinators in EU member states
EU users may escalate unresolved disputes to Digital Services Coordinators in their member state.
COPPA compliance (US users)
Feldar is available only to users aged 13 and older (18 in certain jurisdictions). We:
- Block account creation for users under the minimum age
- Do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
- Delete accounts and data upon learning of underage use
- Report child safety concerns to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
Parents or guardians who believe we have collected information from a child under 13 should contact us immediately at support@feldar.com.
California residents
California users have specific rights under the CCPA regarding usage and data. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
Other jurisdictions
Users in other jurisdictions are subject to local laws and regulations. While this Usage Policy provides global baseline standards, you remain responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with laws applicable in your jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Usage Policy from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
- For material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service
- Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance
